Day 1: Arusha to Ngorongoro Crater – Game Drive and Overnight in Karatu or at the Crater Rim
After breakfast, meet your professional safari guide in Arusha and travel towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater for an exciting game drive across its grasslands, woodland areas and wetlands. Look out for lions, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, elephants and other wildlife. With luck, you may also spot the endangered black rhinoceros.
Enjoy a picnic lunch during the safari before continuing your wildlife exploration. After breakfast, transfer to the designated Serengeti airstrip for your scheduled flight to Zanzibar. Flight routing and departure times will depend on the airline, season and availability. Upon arrival in Zanzibar, meet your transfer driver and travel to your selected beach hotel.
Check in and spend the rest of the day relaxing beside the Indian Ocean. Enjoy the white sandy beaches, warm tropical atmosphere and beautiful turquoise waters.
